Maximilian Arras Tokens
Below are examples of Maximilian Arras tokens. They were made for use in traditional Mexican wedding ceremonies. They are not made of gold, and are larger sized than the gold tokens. All of these listed are around 16mm in diameter.
Max - Eagle #1
Beaded circle around perimeter of both sides. Small reverse legend.

*Also struck in Aluminum.
Max - Eagle #2
Large reverse legend. No beaded circle.

*Also struck in Nickel-plated iron, and Gold plated(nearly gone) over white metal.

Similar to the 2 types above. No beaded circle around obverse as in #2. Small reverse legend as in #1. But, not the same dies.

Clasped hands over heart on reverse.


Gold plated over base metal.
Reverse: 2 linked wedding bands. "Recuerdo de mi boda"


Gold plated over base metal.
Reverse: Eagle & "Imperio Mexicano". Came from this arras set.

Wanted: Eagle type reverse as shown in the first 3 types above,
but it says Imperio Mexicano instead of Recuerdo Matrimonial. 16mm brass.
