California Gold Tokens
California Gold Tokens were made during basically 4 different time frames.
1870-1920 Made with solid gold or with a higher grade plating over a
lower grade gold/silver/copper core.
1930's & 1940's - some gold, some gold plated..sometimes both for
each variety!
1960's & 1970's - all brass, plated brass, etc.
mid to late 1990's - these are the Japanese tokens, all brass plated
zinc.
